The Wedding Gift

By popular demand, this is Ken's father's wedding gift to us.  He drew it his very own self, with love.

Nice drawing!

Gorgeous on its own. Let alone with the added meaning that it was created by someone who loves you very dearly.

This is totally gorgeous!

Wow! I don't usually get the meaning behind art, but this one I think I do. Two powerful trees bending to accomodate the other and growing with each other.

Karen: You should see his paintings. They take my breath away.

Unsigned: Pretty impressive, isn't it?

Nilsa: Ken's dad is an incredible guy. He's currently in treatment for cancer, and experiencing a lot of pain, but he couldn't have a more positive attitude. He complains less than most of the healthy people I know.

Nicole: Indeed. :-)

wigsf: Truly, in this case a picture is worth more than 1,000 words.

Dang... Ken's dad has some mad skills. Awesome drawing! Do you think he would draw a pin-up with big.... well maybe I'll send you my request in an e-mail ;)

That is just exquisite, Spark. And so evocative of the occasion.

I love it! the sense of strength and dignity comes out of a photo of it, it must be spectacular in person!

Ken's Dad is very talented

I want one! That is amazing. It reminds me of that poem about two trees that stand alone but lean on each other. What an amazing personal gift.

How cool is THAT?? He's a fantastic artist! I'd love to see his paintings someday.

LL Cool Joe: I have two other pieces of his hanging in our home: a sepia ink drawing of a tree, and a landscape in oils of a mountain at a distance behind green fields. They are all beautiful.

Ron: He does do portraits. He likes to sit in a local coffee shop and sketch the other patrons. He'd probably rather sketch you than a pin-up.

San: The compliment is especially good coming from you, an expert art lover. :-)

Jenski: It is very evocative.

Kate: Indeed. :-)

Scarlet: Maybe I'll post a photo of some of his other work sometime.

Sketch me??? But I wouldn't be wearing anything as sexy as the pin-ups would??? Well... maybe if I planned things out and found a nice thong and push-up......

art you want is a GREAT gift. esp. when it's large and you can use it wherever you want.
