Mother's Day Album
"What? It's what day?"
The Dude, caught in the act of tearing the weatherstripping off my mom's front door. Obviously he's unaware that this is a special day, and he's supposed to be on his best behaviour. Or maybe this is his best behaviour.
The male cat has a biologically determined nesting instinct. He prefers human clothing, open suitcases, and plastic sheeting as nesting materials.
The centerpiece of the Mother's Day family luncheon table, created by my mom from flowers grown in her own backyard.
"Hello! I'm Mr. Pickle! Do you want to be my friend?"
"Eat me?! Noooooooo! Somebody help me before it's too late!"
He came out of the jar that way. None of the other pickles had a face. I couldn't bring myself to eat him, but he did go out to the table in the pickle dish. I suspect he didn't survive to see the tea served.

LOL.. Poor Mister Pickle. Hmmm seems like nesting in plastic bags would be a form of natural selection in some circumstances.
Cut the pickle...
Tickle! Tickle!
Look at that! How strange. Poor Mr. Pickle. So cute.
The flowers are beautiful!
The pickle still has me giggling!
Ron: Yeah, The Dude's not that smart. He probably shouldn't be allowed to play in plastic bags unsupervised.
Unsigned: Tee hee!
1218blog: I'm accepting donations for the Save The Pickles Foundation. We'll be having a fundraising walk-a-thon in August.
;-)
Leighann: The flowers were even more gorgeous in 3-D. My mom's whole backyard is bursting with blooms. I kept intending to take some photos outside, but didn't get around to it. Next time!
I'm calling child & family services on you ... for letting your lil' one play with a plastic bag. That's no toy. Plastic kills!
ha.
you are crazy!
I just love the little pickle people. It is a Frenchs mustard commercials meets an old school Pickle Barrel ad. I love it!
Nilsa: Considering how much damage The Dude has inflicted upon my mom's home and possessions, she might not be completely averse to the suffocation hazards. ;-)
Jameil: Yup, you said it!
Whatigotsofar: Thanks! I aim to please. :-)
Dude is so cute...purely because he is not in my house tearing things up.
Good catch on the pickle face!
Ah!! I LOVE the pickle picture! That is so funny.
Jenski: That's how I feel. I love to visit with my mom's cats, but I would NOT want them in my house!
Tink: I will be keeping my eyes on olives and other snacks from now on for further signs of intelligence. Didn't someone once find the Virgin Mary on their potato chip? I could be next.
Cats do nest in the darnedest things. And how come[1] my pickles don't look like that???
[1]American for "why".
Ah, Dude knows what he did. Those are some very wide eyes there. He knows something is up.
